Affan

Affan officially started his music career in 2004 as the main vocalist for CHSC band, which is now known as ‘the 70s Poster Band’. His first musical achievement goes back to the inter-school singing competition in 1998 where he won the 1st place for under 16 age group.
Playing live in various resorts in Maldives –Affan has played regular gigs in high-end resorts like Taj Exotica, Anantara and Jumeirah Vittaveli, and performed in different places in Malaysia.
Affan continuing with the 70s Poster Band, joined a second band ‘Nothnegal’ in 2011. The band received international exposure and recorded 2 albums, toured in Germany, Dubai, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and India. They had the honor of performing on the same festival and stage with the Grammy award-winning band –Children of Bordom. Affan with Nothnegal, toured with Opeth- one of the best heavy metal bands in Europe performing for audiences of more than 50,000
His Local success includes receiving the Youth award from the president in 2013, being a founder member of the monthly event- fannu ge dharin, and playing as a guest star on ‘Guitar Idol’. Along his musical career he has performed and recorded with various well known professional artists like FluNashid, Mohoj, Ahmed (Zero Degree Atoll)
