DJ Akram

Mohamed Akram, also known as Akram, has always been enthusiastic about music. In his early school years he started playing guitar with his school buddies, later on switching to drums. He spends most of his time exploring different music genres and playing various musical instruments. It has always been a dream for him to be in a job which includes music and travelling and feels the ideal choice would be working as a DJ.

Akram got his first job in a resort in the Maldives. Resort life provided him with an environment where he could gain important DJ-ing experience. Most of the performing DJs in the Maldives gave Akram the opportunity to see them in action at their gigs and he gained a lot of advice from experienced DJs around the Maldives about pursuing his career in DJ-ing. All this led him to him taking his first step towards achieving his goal of becoming a professional DJ, purchasing a DJ controller he came across during a trip to Europe. At the same time he came across his mentors, DJ Umar and DJ Vifak, and they provided him with an opportunity to participate in a DJ course led by Uber Events and Artists Management. Akram was also able to work with the company and went on to gigs and events with them, which further enhanced his DJ-ing experience. Along the way, Akram was given the opportunity of support DJ with DJ Kina in Meeru Island Resort at the New Year Party. Akram's performance in this, as well as during the Dj-ing course, led his mentors to personally recommend him for resorts seeking out DJs to perform.

Now Akram is regularly given opportunities by Uber Events and Artists Management to perform in resorts they manage.
