The state-of-the-art fish processing plant of Ensis is located within 10 minutes drive to the airport and 20 minutes journey to the main seaport and gives excellent logistical advantages not enjoyed by other factories in the Maldives. In addition, the company owns its own fleet of refrigerated trucks to transport the products in temperature controlled conditions.
Ensis established ice plants in support of local communities. One such facility is established in the north of the country. Value addition provides the best value in price for Fishermen. Ensis acknowledges the strong support by the fishermen and local communities in its business. It has modeled its business to facilitate and stimulate income generation in local communities. A fish collection facility is in the process of being set up in the south of the country together with a fleet of collector vessels.
