Palato Frosty's

Palato Frosty’s is an expansion of the Frosty Cupcakes which was established in 2013, as a home based bakery. Palato means palate in Italian. Hence the name Palato Frosty’s; meaning Frosty’s Palate. Everything on our menu was created because we wanted to see certain flavours come together. If it comes out perfect, as envisioned, it makes the cut. Our topmost priority is always quality. Cutting corners is not something we believe in, which is how we have consistently maintained our quality through out the years.

When you step into the café, there is a glass display filled with exquisitely decorated desserts, cakes and jars of cookies. A step inside that makes you feel like you stepped into a patisserie in an exotic foreign land. That was what we wanted to create. An experience. We have heard these very words from our foreign and local customers which makes us so grateful. We serve fine European gourmet desserts, cupcakes, cakes and other savouries, all with a multitude of flavours and textures on our menu.

Specialty coffee, sourced both from a local roaster and a
Singapore based roaster are served in house. We mostly serve Ethiopian beans (both Sidamo and Yirgacheffe) as we are personally very fond of the body and taste profile of it. The strong citrus notes in both Sidamo and Yirgacheffe complements our desserts and our customers have grown quite fond of this pairing. We are currently only serving espresso based coffees and plan on serving filter coffees in the future.

The Artisan fruit teas on our menu are made of dried organic fruits and flowers, which are caffeine free and high in antioxidants. While they maybe unconventional, it is very refreshing and has many health benefits. In addition to this we serve Matcha lattes and chocolate based drinks.

We established the café to give our contribution to the evolving foodscape of Maldives. Food serves as a common language and is an affection, and we wanted to create a platform where we could share this love with the food enthusiasts in our community
