STO Peoples Choice Home Improvement was established in May 1995. STO Home Improvement sells and promotes paints, power tools, office furniture and cooling systems for office and homes. STO Home Improvement also sells DAP (Domestic Appliances and Personnel Care) items such as juicers, cookers, refrigerators, washers, shavers, etc. STO Home Improvement believes in reliable and complete solutions rather than just products.

The rising popularity and growth of STO Home Improvement has been attributed to a world leading portfolio of brands that include Hitachi, Makita, Nippon, and Philips. Continuous improvements in the sales process and customer care (such as pioneering product guarantees and after sales service in the Maldives) has also played well in to STO Home Improvement's increasing mind share.

In June 2011, STO Peoples Choice Electronics was merged with and brought under the roof of STO Peoples Choice Home Improvement with the aim of providing a more convenient consumer experience.

Since November 1993, STO Electronics had earned a great reputation in its own right for its specialization in branded consumer electronics such as television sets, receivers, video and audio equipment, cameras and camcorders, and many other related products and accessories. Later introductions included mobile phones, plasma TVs and other sophisticated digital electronics. Major brands were Philips, Hitachi, Olympus and Maxell. A state-of-the-art showroom that facilitated immersive product experience with friendly and knowledgeable staff had made STO Electronics the premier stop for many consumers of such products. Customer satisfaction was a main priority. Sales staff were trained to assist customers make the right choice that fit their budget. The competitive prices attracted many retailers and wholesalers, and it had also made STO Electronics a popular venue for expatriates and visitors as well.

The electronics product range is now offered (with the same great value and better service) on the revamped and expanded showroom floor of STO Home Improvement, further enhancing the consumer experience. Since the products under our main brands are covered by warranty, the Service Centre has also been renovated and upgraded to a modern facility. Our technicians are professionally trained by the respective brands.
