The sheer abundance of marine life and clear visibility makes Thaa Atoll one of the greatest underwater regions on the planet. While around 25 sites in the Thaa Atoll are already chronicled, there are numerous unexplored channels and reefs, with the waters offering something for divers of all abilities.
In Thaa Atoll, expect to encounter large reefs, coral gardens, steep walls and overhangs, along with white tip reef sharks, eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse, tuna and many schools of reef fish. It is also possible to sight whale sharks in this area of Maldives.
