Alimatha Aquatic Resort

The Vaavu Atoll, not far from the equator, is a small diamond in the Maldives archipelagus. Located 65 km away from Male, it can be reached by a seaplane flight lasting about 20 minutes or a 90 min trip by speed boat. With its shape that recalls that of a boot and extends for 11 km in length, the Vaavu Atoll is one of the most pristine of all the Maldives and allows you to admire nature in all its splendor. The word Alimathà originally meant “woman’s face”. The island, seen from above, today has a shape that reminds of a heart, and has a beach of fine white sand that extends into the waters of the Maldives.
